What is TeachBoost?
When describing the TeachBoost in an article or email, please feel free to use this ready-to-go description:
TeachBoost is a cloud-based evaluation and feedback platform. It’s designed to help K-12 schools, districts, and coaches nurture great educators and foster a more human and cooperative professional development process. With a suite of observation, coaching, and reporting tools that work together or alone, TeachBoost can fit into any existing PD workflow or create new ones for organizations of all sizes. At the district level, TeachBoost offers real-time, comprehensive insights into the quality of instruction and educator development across buildings and networks.
Who uses TeachBoost?
TeachBoost Pro and Coach are used in 46 states and 6 countries. A couple of our flagship implementations include the NYC Department of Education, Oakland Unified School District, IDEA Public Schools, and Rocketship Schools. TeachBoost Pro and Coach are “framework-agnostic” platforms that power schools and districts with many different systems, rubrics, and workflows.
Our name
TeachBoost is always one word and is spelled with a capital “T” and “B”; the only exception to the capitalization is when writing our domain name: teachboost.com.
Our tagline
A Great Teacher for Every Classroom
Assets & design requirements
The TeachBoost marks include the TeachBoost name and logo, as well as any word, phrase, image, or other designation that identifies the source of any of TeachBoost’s products. We absolutely encourage you to use and distribute them! We just ask that you follow our design and display guidelines below and that you do not use them in any way that would create confusion.
TeachBoost logo
The TeachBoost logo is made up of the rocketship bookmark—our “logomark”—and the “logotype,” or “TeachBoost” set in Signika . The logomark has a 5:7 aspect ratio (the standard display size is 30px wide and 42px high) and the logotype uses 28px/22pt Signika in semibold weight at that display size. Please keep these two marks together as our full logo whenever possible and do not stretch or skew the logo or any of the individual marks.
When displaying the logo on a white or light background, the mark should be transparent and the type should be our black text, #223344
. On a dark background, photo, or when there’s too much contrast between the background and our color logo, please use the appropriate monochromatic mark and text in black or #fff
.
Logomark
You may also use our logomark by itself when convenient or if design space dictates. Similarly, use the default red logomark on white or light backgrounds and a monochromatic version on a background with a darker color, a color that clashes with the logo, or complexity/visual interest.
Do not use just the rocket itself anywhere and do not replace the rocket with any other symbols, images, brands, or logos. If you’re including the TeachBoost logomark along with other brand logos, please use an appropriate margin of about 50% of the size of our mark.
App icons
Our app icons and social media icons eschew the bookmark and simply place our rocket inside of whatever dimensions the platform calls for. This is often a rounded square but also includes circles or regular squares. We have a variety of pre-rendered app icons on our Github repository .
Other logo guidelines
Please do not use any other logo or mark other than those presented here to represent TeachBoost. We also kindly ask that you do not:
- Rotate the logomark, distort it, or move it closer or further away from the logotype (i.e., keep the proportions);
- Add any special effects or change the colors;
- Print over top of the logo or marks, or otherwise obstruct them;
- Use a word other than TeachBoost in our logotype next to our logomark.
Colors
We use our color palette alongside our name and marks to establish the TeachBoost brand. These colors also serve to guide our users in our products as well and help create a consistent experience.
